Seit über 40 Jahren spiele ich Querflöte.
Dabei stelle ich immer wieder fest, dass die grosse Frage das WIE ist.
WIE verbessere ich meinen Ton,
WIE übe ich effizient,
WIE lerne ich eine schwierige Stelle.
WIE bleibe ich in Form.
Hier kommt Improve it ! zum Zuge.
Mit der Zeit sind Uebungen und Anregungen entstanden; lose Blätter,
welche meine Erfahrungen widerspiegeln. Sie sind eine Zusammenfassung jahrelanger Praxis beim Ueben, Spielen und Unterrichten.
Einige dieser Blätter haben den Weg zu meinen Schülern gefunden,
viele sind in einer Schublade verschwunden.
Jetzt scheint es mir an der Zeit, diese Arbeiten geordnet zu veröffentlichen und allen Liebhabern der Flöte zugänglich zu machen.
Ich bin überzeugt, ambitionierten Amateuren und Profis einiges Fortbildungsmaterial liefern zu können. Schlussendlich geht es ums Musikmachen, und die Flöte ist unser ”Hilfsmittel“.
Improve it ! ist ein interaktives Praxisbuch.
Es soll von jedem Kapitel in ein Verwandtes gewechselt werden und nicht stur der Reihe nach gearbeitet werden.
Von den harmonischen Uebungen zum Fokussieren. Vom Fokussieren zur Resonanz, von der Resonanz zur Einführung in die zeitgenössischen Techniken, u.s.w.
Ich wünsche allen viel Freude beim Ausprobieren und bin für Anregungen immer zu erreichen.

For over 40 years I play the flute.
In doing so, I notice that the big question is the HOW.
HOW do I improve my tone
HOW do I practice efficiently,
HOW do I learn a difficult job?
HOW do I stay in shape?
Here comes Improve it!
Over time, exercises and suggestions have emerged; loose leaves,
which reflect my experiences. They are a summary of years of practice in practicing, playing and teaching.
Some of these leaves have found their way to my students many have disappeared in a drawer. Now it seems to me time to publish these works in an orderly way and make them accessible to all lovers of the flute.
I am convinced that I can supply some advanced training material to ambitious amateurs and professionals. Ultimately, it’s all about making music, and the flute is our „tool“.
Improve it! is an interactive practice book.
It is to be changed from each chapter to a relative and not be worked stubbornly in turn. From harmonic exercises to focusing. From focusing to resonance, from resonance to introduction to contemporary techniques, etc.
I wish you all a lot of fun trying it out and I am always available for suggestions.
