Der klassisch ausgebildete Flötist erforscht mit seinen Flöten Klangwelten, welche als FLUTE TRENDS by Stefan Keller bekannt sind.

The classically trained flutist explores worlds of sound with his flutes, which are known worldwide as FLUTE TRENDS by Stefan Keller.

As a musician and composer, as well as sound designer and „sound – image – designer*“ of baroque – classical – avantgarde – jazz and improvised music, Keller has found his own musical language.

He has received several awards from the Aargauer Kuratorium for his innovative artistic work and has stayed at the „Cité Internationale des Arts“ in Paris and at the Aargauer Atelier in Berlin for further training. 

His unique musical projects such as „under water„, „sound – castle – Hallwyl“, „concert in the factory hall“, „carpentry“ as well as his collaboration with visual artists have made him well-known in Europe and Japan.

As a musician and composer, Keller moves in the area of baroque – classical – avantgarde – jazz and improvised music. 

With the worldwide unique „Peak – Level – Meter – Suit„, made by Junichi Kusaka, he was able to captivate the audience at concerts with the interaction of music and light.
Keller plays Quartertone – BeBe – GlissandoAlto – and Bassflute, Contrabassflute as well as Subcontrabassflute, Gemshoerner, Kalimba and various Bamboo flutes, acoustic and electronic. 

His 12 etudes on contemporary playing techniques called „Palette“ inspire flute players worldwide.

Keller’s collaboration with the drummer &  percussionist Beda Ehrensperger, who emigrated to Ghana with whom he released the CD „Bach today“ in 2019 (published by the renowned label Neos), intensified during the Corona period and manifests itself in „Ping – Pong – Music“ with videos across many thousands of kilometres. The numerous so-called Co-Videos that resulted from this impressively document this fruitful collaboration.

As an enthusiastic live – looper, Keller has been working with the latest live sampling techniques for almost 30 years. He uses a „Surround – Loop – Software“ developed especially for him, which offers unimagined sound possibilities. – ! Recently in 3D Audio ! –

Stefan Keller has been organising the international flute event FLAUTANDO in Boswil, Switzerland since 1999. The great cooperation with international flute stars is always an experience, which is especially noticeable in the evening concert of the Flautando day.- www.flautando.ch

In autumn 2022 „Stefan Keller & Friends“ together with Ioanna Seira – Violoncello and Beda Ehrensperger – Drums, were chosen as Pro Argovia Artists, which is a wonderful appreciation of his work!

Stefan Keller is internationally on the road as a „Low-Flutes-Specialist“ and enriches various international flute events with concerts & workshops!

Als Musiker und Komponist, sowie Sounddesigner und „Klang – Bild – Gestalter“ von Barock – Klassik – Avantgarde – Jazz und improvisierter Musik, hat Keller seine eigene Sprache gefunden. 

Vom Aargauer Kuratorium wurde er mehrmals für sein innovativ künstlerisches Schaffen ausgezeichnet und weilte an der „Cité Internationale des Arts“ in Paris und im Aargauer Atelier in Berlin zur Weiterbildung. 

Seine einzigartigen musikalischen Projekte wie „unter Wasser„, „Klang – Schloss – Hallwyl“, „Konzert in der Fabrikhalle“, „Schreinerei“ wie auch die Zusammenarbeit mit bildenden Künstlern haben ihn in Europa und in Japan bekannt gemacht.

Mit dem weltweit einmaligen „Peak – Level – Meter – Suit„, made by Junichi Kusaka, konnte er an Konzerten das Publikum mit der Interaktion von Musik und Licht in seinen Bann ziehen.
Keller spielt Viertelton – BeBe – GlissandoAlt – und Bassfloete, Kontrabassfloete sowie Subkontrabassfloete, Gemshoerner, Kalimba und verschiedenste Bambusfloeten, akustisch und elektronisch. 

Als Musiker und Komponist bewegt sich Keller im Bereich von Barock – Klassik – Avantgarde – Jazz und improvisierter Musik. 

Seine 12 Etuden zu zeitgenössischen Spieltechniken „Palette“ begeistern FlötenspielerInnen weltweit.

Kellers Zusammenarbeit mit dem Schlagzeuger Beda Ehrensperger, mit dem er 2019 die CD „Bach today“ (erschienen beim renommierten Label Neos), intensivierte sich während der Coronazeit und manifestiert sich in „Ping – Pong – Musik“ mit Videos über viele tausend Kilometer hinweg. Die zahlreichen daraus enstandenen sogenannten Co-Videos dokumentieren diese fruchtbare Zusammenarbeit eindrücklich.

Als begeisterter Looper beschaeftigt Keller sich seit bald 30 Jahren mit den neusten Live – Sampling – Techniken. Er bedient sich einer eigens für ihn entwickelten „Surround – Loop – Software“, welche unegahnte Klangmöglichkeiten bietet. – ! Neuerdings in 3D Audio ! –

Stefan Keller organisiert seit 1999 den internationalen Flöten Event FLAUTANDO in Boswil, Schweiz. Die tolle Zusammenarbeit mit internationalen Flötenstars ist immer wieder ein Erlebnis, welches jeweils speziell im Abendkonzert des Flautando – Tages zum tragen kommt. www.flautando.ch
